In 2020, Vincent was hired by the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center, where he played a key role in helping develop and launch the Glen Burke Wellness Clinic—a groundbreaking sexual health and wellness clinic designed to provide culturally competent, client-centered healthcare for communities of color and LGBTQ+ individuals. The clinic was intentionally built to ensure clients could receive care from professionals who reflected and understood their lived experiences.

As his leadership responsibilities expanded, Vincent became the Operations Manager and Benefits Manager for both the Community Center and Glen Burke Wellness Clinic. In these roles, he ensured daily operations met regulatory standards while developing operational policies, implementing organizational protocols, training staff, and maintaining compliance across multiple programs. As Benefits Manager, he worked one-on-one with clients, helping them navigate complex insurance systems, access healthcare, secure public benefits, and obtain life-changing resources that many had previously believed were out of reach.

That same year, Vincent founded Urban Park Cleanup, a grassroots community initiative built on one simple belief: communities have the power to restore neglected spaces when people come together with purpose. What began as neighborhood cleanups quickly evolved into a much larger movement.

In 2021, Urban Park Cleanup became Urban Compassion Project, expanding its mission beyond environmental restoration to address the growing humanitarian crisis affecting people experiencing homelessness throughout the Bay Area. Under Vincent's leadership, the organization became a bridge between government agencies, service providers, property owners, and individuals who had too often been overlooked by traditional systems of care.

Over the course of six years, Vincent recruited, trained, and led more than 4,000 volunteers through thousands of cleanup and community restoration projects. His leadership emphasized professionalism, OSHA compliance, biohazard safety, environmental stewardship, and trauma-informed engagement with vulnerable populations. During his tenure, Urban Compassion Project removed more than 3,400 tons of waste, debris, hazardous materials, and illegally dumped refuse from neighborhoods, waterways, public spaces, and homeless encampments throughout Northern California.

While environmental restoration remained a core component of the organization's work, Vincent believed that cleaning communities meant investing in the people living within them. Through persistent outreach, advocacy, and relationship-building, he personally helped 643 individuals obtain permanent housing, connected 413 people to substance use treatment programs, and assisted 344 individuals in reestablishing ongoing medical care.

One of the most meaningful aspects of Vincent's work centered on individuals living with hoarding disorder and severe clutter resulting from trauma, grief, mental illness, or prolonged instability. Drawing from his own lived experience, he approached every client without judgment or shame. Instead of focusing solely on removing belongings, Vincent worked alongside individuals to understand the emotional significance behind what they had accumulated while helping them safely navigate difficult decisions. Throughout his career, he has worked directly with 4,706 individuals experiencing hoarding disorder, helping reduce dangerous living conditions while connecting clients to mental health providers, social services, housing resources, and long-term support systems designed to prevent future crises.

Vincent also partnered extensively with property managers, landlords, housing providers, attorneys, families, municipalities, and social service organizations to resolve some of the most difficult property recovery situations imaginable. His work included eviction recovery, estate cleanouts, severe hoarding remediation, biohazard cleanup, move-out restoration, deep cleaning, sanitation, and preparing properties for safe re-occupancy—all while balancing the needs of property owners with the dignity and humanity of the individuals involved.

These experiences ultimately inspired Vincent to found Oak Property Recovery Services.
