Some people enter this profession through education. Others arrive through employment. Vincent Ray Williams III came to this work through survival.

Oak Property Recovery Services was created to redefine what property recovery can look like. Rather than viewing every project as simply a cleanup, Vincent believes each property tells the story of someone's life. Behind every cluttered home, biohazard scene, abandoned property, or eviction lies a person, a family, or a community navigating one of life's most difficult moments.

The company was built around a simple philosophy: lead with compassion first, solve problems second.

Today, Oak Property Recovery Services specializes in trauma-informed property recovery, hoarding remediation, biohazard cleanup, eviction recovery, estate cleanouts, and full-service property restoration—serving individuals, families, property owners, and communities throughout the region.

Vincent's life began with adversity. As a child, he experienced the instability of the foster care system and group homes, endured physical and sexual abuse, struggled with mental health challenges, and spent nearly twenty-four years experiencing homelessness. Like many individuals living with unresolved trauma, Vincent also battled excessive clutter and the emotional attachment to possessions that often develops as a coping mechanism for loss, instability, and survival. He understands firsthand how trauma can reshape a person's relationship with their environment, their belongings, and ultimately themselves.

His experiences exposed him to the realities of homelessness, self-neglect, untreated mental illness, addiction, poverty, discrimination, and the devastating effects of isolation. Rather than allowing those experiences to define his future, Vincent transformed them into the foundation of a lifelong commitment to serving others with dignity, compassion, and understanding.
